OWU sports fitness program pilot

We are going to expand a pilot sports fitness program run by Ohio Wesleyan University to include more athletes. It's positive and supportive environment and a chance for our athletes to improve their fitness and do better in their sports. The goals of the program include:

  • Improving body composition by increasing muscle mass, decreasing fat mass, and maintaining or improving bone density.
  • Reducing the risk of or helping to manage chronic diseases by improving fitness.
  • Improving posture and balance which will also increase resistance to injury.
  • Reducing muscle imbalances caused by repetitive activities or a more sedentary lifestyle to reduce future injuries and improve quality of life.
  • Encouraging athletes to continue physical activity by creating fun, challenging activities that will help the athletes to see positive results.

Please sign up using this form so we can see who is interested and when they can participate. If we have more athletes interested than we have space for, athletes who sign up first will be able to participate.

The OWU team hopes to start in 2-3 weeks. IF YOU ARE AT ALL INTERESTED, SIGN UP! If you don't sign up, you won't be able to participate this season! If you don't sign up, the days you are available won't influence the schedule!

(Don't worry about signing up and not being able to participate, there's no penalty for signing up because you are interested and then not being able to because of scheduling conflicts.)
